Philamlife is pleased to open its theater doors to host and welcome the Finals of the Ultimate Pianist 2008 Competition and OPUSFEST: The International Piano & Chamber Music Festival Philippines. We have great pride in partnering with Camerata dell’Arte Foundation for these events – not only because they celebrate classical art at its best, but also because we do so during the month of Philamlife’s 61st founding anniversary.
When the Philamlife Theater was built in 1961, it was created to celebrate the Filipino love for music and was intended to help artists showcase their work. 47 years after its construction, we are proud that the Philamlife Theater continues to do the same, and in this specific instance, promote classical music through this long-awaited world-class piano competition’s second edition and the country’s first international piano & chamber music festival.
We congratulate the Camerata dell’Arte Foundation and its Artistic Director, Jovianney Emmanuel Cruz, for the hope that there will be many more years of the Ultimate Pianist Competition and OPUSFEST.
