Concept
OPUSFEST: The International Piano & Chamber Music Festival Philippines is a 12-day intensive music camp to be held in the City of Manila, centrally located in the beautiful archipelago of the Philippines. OPUSFEST is open to all pianists, violinists and cellists of all nationalities! Master Classes will be conducted by eminent concert artists & pedagogues. Performance classes, lessons, workshops, and seminars will be conducted by the entire faculty. There will be chamber music concerts and concertos with orchestra. The last evening of the festival will be a culminating recital featuring the Participants. There will be excursions as well.
Application Requirements
Each applicant is required to submit the following:
- The completed application form
- Photocopy of Valid Passport, all pages, including those empty;
- Four (4) passport size photos (2x2) for id purposes;
- One (1) professional size photo (5x7) for publicity purposes;
- Curriculum Vitae in prose form, with a maximum of 20 lines, indicating studies, professional activities, prizes & degrees obtained, and reviews;
- The program consisting of at least four (4) works covering at least three (3) main periods of the piano, violin, cello, and chamber music literature to be performed in the festival, one of which will be chosen by the Faculty to be performed in the festival’s Final Concert;
- A letter of recommendation from your current teacher;
- The application, reservation, & processing fee of One Hundred Dollars (US$100) in the form of an international money order or a bank transfer certificate payable to: Camerata dell’Arte Foundation
- All application requirements must be submitted on or before Friday, 16 May 2008
Repertoire Requirements
REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS Each applicant should present a program consisting of at least four (4) works covering at least three (3) main periods of the solo piano, violin, cello, and/or chamber music literature to be played in lessons, master classes, performance classes, pocket performances, and in the OPUSFEST Final Concert.
Venues
All accommodations, lessons, master classes, Faculty Concerts during Chamber Music Week and the Final Concert will be held in the City of Manila. Faculty Concerts during Concerto Week will be held at the Philamlife Theater. Two (2) Participants will share a hotel room and one piano as a practice facility.
Tuition & Fees
| APPLICATION FEE | US$100. Fee for processing application and slot reservation. Payable by 16 May 2008. |
| EBONY PACKAGE | US$1,300 (PhP50,000). The In-House Pianist’s package which includes active participation in master classes, lessons, Faculty Concerts, final concert, excursions, meals, practice facilities, and accommodations. Twenty-four slots are available. The fee is payable on or before Monday, 16 June 2008. |
| IVORY PACKAGE | PhP15,000. The Resident Pianist’s package is inclusive of observing master classes, lessons, Faculty Concerts, and final concert only. Accommodations, meals, and practice facilities are not included. Excursions are optional. The fee is payable on or before Monday, 16 June 2008.

| MAPLE PACKAGE | US$1,300 (PhP50,000). The In-House Strings package is inclusive of active participation in master classes, lessons, Faculty Concerts, final concert, excursions, meals, practice facilities, and accommodations. Twelve slots are available. The fee is payable on or before Monday, 16 June 2008. |
| SPRUCE PACKAGE | PhP15,000. The Resident Strings package is inclusive of observing master classes, lessons, Faculty Concerts, and final concert only. Accommodations, meals, and practice facilities are not included. Excursions are optional. The fee is payable on or before Monday, 16 June 2008. |
| LESSONS, LECTURES, & MASTER CLASSES | PhP1,000 per day. Discounts apply when purchasing three or more days or purchasing as a group of three or more persons. |
